How to read this publication record
The works listed here should be understood as identifiable scholarly outputs, not as a complete inventory of every manuscript, presentation or project undertaken. Where a persistent identifier is available, readers can use it to check bibliographic details and locate the publisher’s record. The absence of a DOI in an entry should not be interpreted as evidence that the work lacks scholarly value; it indicates that no DOI is presented in the verified metadata currently used by this page.
Publication status matters. A published article, an accepted contribution, a manuscript under review and an unpublished research proposal represent different stages of scholarly work and should not be combined into a single publication count. This separation helps readers evaluate the public record without confusing completed outputs with research in progress.
A scholarly record should make its claims open to independent scrutiny
A publication list is most informative when readers can distinguish published articles, accepted work and ongoing research, and when bibliographic details are supported by traceable sources. The significance of a study also depends on the relationship between its question, methods, evidence and interpretation. Citation counts and publication venues provide only partial indicators; neither can replace careful reading of what the work actually demonstrates and where its limitations lie.
For this reason, publications are presented as part of a developing research trajectory rather than as disconnected achievements. The wider interests in language education, materials evaluation, learning and educational judgement can be understood through this trajectory, while new conceptual projects, including Golden Talent, must retain a clear distinction between a proposed framework and independently established findings.
For a fuller account of the proposed framework and its limitations, see Golden Talent and the methodology.
The independent JHELA journal initiative is distinct from the publications catalogued here. It is in a founding stage, has published no issues or articles, and presently invites scholarly participation through its reviewer network. Its future editorial decisions will be governed separately from the author's personal publication record.
